2016 Speedway Motors Points Race
The Speedway Motors Derby Points Series features some of the best drivers in the Midwest competing in events all over the Midwest. Each driver's top 6 point finishes count toward their total for the year and the 2015 Points Championship Event will count as double points. The Points Championship event points will be added to the other top six finishes to determine the winner. A total of $6500 in prize money is paid to the point's winners.
We will allow points to qualify in both modified and light weld/stock full size class. You can only count one set of points per event. So a driver could get points for a limited weld finish one week and a stock finish the next.
This year there will be three double points events:
Capital City Carnage
Climax 100K
Points Final Event - this event will be added to your top six finishes
A total of $6,500 in prize money is paid to the point's winners.
The champion gets the following prize package:
$2,000 cash prize
Embroidered jacket
Championship trophy
Hotel accommodations for the 2015 Blizzard Bash event
Estimated Value of $3200.00 to win the points race!!
The top 10 finishers in the points race will receive a cash prize.
The top 5 places will receive trophies.
2nd - $1200.00
3rd - $900.00
4th - $700.00
5th - $600.00
6th - $450.00
7th - $300.00
8th - $200.00
9th - $100.00
10th - $50.00
All prizes will be awarded at Blizzard Bash 2016.
Points will be awarded on the following system:
Running an event - 50 points
Making the feature - 20 points
Placing:
1st - 100 points
2nd - 80 points
3rd - 60 points
4th - 40 points
5th - 20 points
Points Championship Event will count as double points!!!
