Stock Rules for Macon Missouri August 26, 2016

THIS IS NOT A SET OF RULES BUT A SET OF GUIDELINES OF HOW TO BUILD YOUR CAR. IF IT DOESN’T SAY YOU CAN SPECIFICALLY DO SOMETHING THAN YOU CANT.
**THIS IS A STOCK CLASS AND IS MEANT TO BE AN EASY BUILD IF CARS ARE OVER BUILT YOU WILL CUT OR WILL BE MOVED TO LIMITED WELD.**
General Rules:
1.ALL RULES WILL BE FOLLOWED OR YOU WILL NOT RUN.
2.Any American make car can run with the following exceptions; No 2003 or newer FoMoCo frames, No 1970 or older Lincolns. No 1973 or older Chrysler Imperials or Imperial sub-frames, 4x4’s, ambulance, hearses, trucks, limousines, etc...
3.All drivers must sign the driver’s paperwork or they will not drive in the event.
4. Driver must wear a seat belt, helmet, FIRE SUIT JACKET (no more exceptions to the fire jacket rule).
5. All Drivers and Crew Members must attend the drivers meeting.
6.No hot rodding in the pits, keep it at an idle. This will be the quickest way to be DISQUALIFIED.
7.You are given 1 minute to make an aggressive hit. After 1 minute that particular car will be disqualified. You are only given 1 minute in total, not 1 minute to get started and 1 minute to hit.
8.No drivers are allowed alcohol -period. If you are wearing a driver’s band and drinking any form of Alcohol -YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
9.Cars will be re-inspected before any prize money is paid out. The cars will be re-inspected by the Tech staff only. Everyone else will stay back until cars are deemed to be legal.
10.There is a $250.00 protest fee, and you must be a driver in the main event to protest another car or team’s car. Driver must have cash in hand directly after the feature in order to protest. If the car is found to be illegal it will be disqualified.
11.Any complaints that a driver has about another car prior to the start of the first heat will need to be addressed in the drivers meeting in specifics. If nothing is said, we don’t want to hear about it after the show.
12.Any questions, give me a call: Austin Johnson 217-248-0886. If these rules or a phone call to us does not say you can do it THEN DON’T. We can’t stress enough to call first.
13.Judges decisions are FINAL!!!
IF THE RULES DO NOT SAY YOU CAN DO IT YOU CANT!!!!!!!!!!
Car Preparation:
1. All glass, plastic, chrome, interior, and decking in wagons must be removed. This includes trailer hitches and brackets.
2. Tires no larger than 16”, no split rims, no studded tires. You may run doubled tires and have an outside flap.
3. You must use a radiator and must be in stock location.
4. You must have working brakes.
5. Original gas tanks must be removed. You must use a boat tank or well made fuel cell and it must securely fastened and bolted to the floor boards in the back seat.
6. Tranny coolers are allowed if you choose to run one. It must have well made lines with secured fittings. (Fuel Line is NOT ok)
7. Batteries must be moved to the passenger floorboard fastened down securely and covered.
Building:
1. You can chain and bolt doors shut OR weld all vertical lower door seems with 4” 1/8 door strapping
2. You are allowed to run a bar on outside of drivers door for protection no bigger than 6” material and can run 6 inches in front of door seam and 6 inches behind front door seam.
3. You are allowed to have a 4 point cage. No bigger than 6” material. Must be 6” away from the firewall. 5” in front of rear seat body mount can be welded, bolted or chained in place. Halo may be welded to the frame. You are allowed 2 down tubes on the front side of the cage to sheet metal only. Must be BEHIND the inside door seam.
4. A loaded OEM bumper can be used and welded on. If you run a homemade bumper max specs are 6x6x1/4” tube with no point. You may hardnose your bumper and you MUST leave the shocks on, but they must remain in factory location where it was bolted from the factory. NO welding on the bumper bracket other than to attach it to the bumper.
5. You may tuck your trunk lid but 60% must be in stock position.
6. You may put four 6” long, ½” diameter bolts in trunk lid and 4 more in the hood. They may have a 4”x4” washer, 2 pieces of up to 1” all thread may pass through front core support and must go through front body mount. 2 pieces of 1” all thread through trunk lid through factory body mount.
7. Must have at least a 12” hole cut in the hood in case of a fire.
8. Body mounts must stay in place. Broken body mounts can be replaced with up to a 7/16 bolt and 1” spacer.
9. Rear ends must be 5 lug only but you can swap Ford to Chevy etc. Pinon brakes are ok but NO bracing on rear end is allowed. You can wire or chain coil springs to rear end and frame to prevent springs from falling out, must go to package tray and NOT frame rails
10. Tie Rods and Ball Joints must remain stock. You are allowed to change steering knuckle, but only at the steering box.
11. Fenders may be trimmed for tire clearance. No bolting or welding together. Rear quarters may also be trimmed.
12. All cars must have at least 1 strap wire/chain or up to 3/8 x 4 flat strap welded going from the roof to firewall. 6” on firewall and 6” on roof.
13. You can run your shifter through the floor and you may run your exhaust through the hood.
14. You may run any engine in any qualifying car with stock mounts only.
15. NO protectors of any kind. No engine protectors of any kind, not even a lower cradle and NO tranny protectors. Cross Members can be factory or 2x2 Square
16. Slider driveshafts are allowed.
17. NO SHORTING FRAMES AT ALL…….PERIOD!!!
Repair Plates: (4)- 4x4x1/4” plates only on bends.
YOUR CAR MUST BE BENT AND MUST BE NOTICEABLE OR YOU WILL CUT THEM OFF!!!
NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!
